Questions
What does an owner’s representative do at newbuilding delivery?
Inspects the ship for the owner before acceptance, keeps the punch list of outstanding items, follows them up with the yard, and checks the ship, documents and crew are ready to sail.
What does lay-up reactivation involve?
A condition check of the laid-up ship, a work list for repairs, renewal of certificates and surveys that fell due, then crew, stores and trials, until the ship can trade again.
How long does a reactivation take?
It depends on how long the ship was laid up and her condition. We agree a plan and a timeline after the first inspection.
Can you do only the inspection?
Yes. You can order the delivery or reactivation inspection on its own, or the full project.
How much does it cost?
We quote per request, based on the ship, the scope, the location and the dates. Send the details below and we reply within one working day.
