Wind turbine inspection – onshore and offshore

A guided photo walk for wind turbine technicians, from the foundation to the nacelle, with a report the whole team can read. Now in pilot: technicians review the turbine library and the checklists before AI analysis is switched on.

Where it stands

In the pilot now
  • Wind farm and turbine set up from a library of models
  • Guided walk, area by area, with what to photograph in each
  • Photos saved on the phone first, uploaded when there is signal
  • Expert notes per area, and a preview report with the photos
After the technicians’ review
  • AI analysis of the photos
  • Findings linked to the rules and the manufacturer’s checklist
  • A corrective-action list the team can close

Nothing is switched on before wind turbine technicians have checked it. Until then the report shows photos and notes only, marked “Preview”.

Turbines in the library

25 models from 7 manufacturers – 16 onshore, 9 offshore – each with its drivetrain and its own walk. Any other turbine can be added as “Other / unlisted”.

What we ask of pilot partners

01

Try the walk

Technicians use it on real turbines and tell us what is missing or in the wrong place.

02

Review the library

One workbook: areas, components and photo hints, each marked OK, Change or Remove.

03

Say what matters

Which checks and findings a report must carry before AI analysis is switched on.

For wind turbine service companies, training centres, and wind farm owners and operators.

Questions

Is AI analysis switched on?

Not yet. In the pilot the app guides the walk and builds a report from the photos and notes. AI analysis starts after wind turbine technicians have reviewed the library and the checklists.

Does it work offshore without signal?

Yes. Photos are saved on the phone first and upload on their own when there is signal again.

Does it replace the manufacturer’s checklist or the recurring inspection?

No. It records what the technician saw, with photos. The manufacturer’s procedures and the inspections required for the turbine still apply.

Who sees our turbines and reports?

Your own company’s accounts, and Ship Check AI administrators for support. Documents you upload for a turbine model stay in your workspace.

How do we join?
