Questions
What is a ship condition inspection?
An independent inspection of the ship’s physical condition, safety equipment and records. It shows the owner, charterer or underwriter where the ship stands and what needs fixing.
Is it the same as a PSC inspection?
No. Port state control is done by the authorities. A pre-PSC readiness inspection finds the deficiencies first, so the crew can close them before the inspector arrives.
How long does it take?
It depends on the ship’s size and the scope. We confirm the time on board and the report date when we quote.
Where can you inspect?
From Riga across Latvian ports and the Baltic Sea region, and worldwide on request. Partner surveyors can cover jobs in Norway, the Mediterranean and Asia.
How much does it cost?
We quote per request, based on the ship, the scope, the port and the dates. Send the details below and we reply within one working day.
